The Movement Unleashed
Online Video Comp 2016

Parkour video competition

The Movement Unleashed Online Video Comp is a competition to see New Zealand up its game in parkour and freerunning.

Parkour would not be what it is without video sharing, so we’d like you to send us your best parkour and freerunning video. Enter now to be in to win cash prizes, including $100 for first place, in New Zealand’s first ever parkour competition with prize money on the line!

Whether you’ve been practicing one year or ten years, we want to see what you’ve got. Be creative, be precise, be fluid.

Create a parkour/freerunning video, incorporating the following 3 elements:

  1. A headstand
  2. A banana
  3. “Yamakasi – strong body, strong mind, strong spirit”

Please include a headstand, a banana, and the concept of “Yamakasi – strong body, strong mind, strong spirit” somewhere in the video. The elements can be included and interpreted in any way in the video. How you incorporate them is up to you – creativity is encouraged. For example, maybe you want to interpret the headstand as doing a simple tripod headstand, or maybe you want to throw some insane headspins in-between jumps.

First place:          $100 NZD
Second place:       $30 NZD
Third place:         $20 NZD

Spot prizes are also up for grabs. Read more.

Judging will be conducted by a panel of four judges:

  4. Use of the competition elements – the creative use, or the seamless integration, of the 3 mandated elements.
